When I opened The DanceWorks in 1998, I had one goal—to create a place where children could discover the joy of dance while growing into confident, kind, and hardworking young people. More than 28 years later, that mission remains the heart of everything we do.
As Round Rock’s first comprehensive dance studio, The DanceWorks has had the privilege of watching generations of dancers grow up in our studios. From our tiniest dancers taking their very first class to our graduating seniors preparing for their next adventure, we are honored to be a part of each student’s journey.
We offer classes for children ages two through teens in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, breaking, and more. Whether your child is dancing simply for the love of it or has dreams of performing, competing, or dancing beyond high school, every student receives the same encouragement, quality instruction, and personal attention.
We believe dance is about so much more than learning steps. It’s about building confidence, developing discipline, creating lifelong friendships, learning to work as a team, and discovering what you’re capable of accomplishing through dedication and perseverance. Those lessons stay with our students long after they leave the studio.
While we are incredibly proud of the many dancers who have become high school dance team leaders, trained at prestigious summer intensives, earned college scholarships, continued their dance education at universities across the country, and gone on to perform with professional dance companies, our greatest success isn’t measured by awards or titles. It’s measured by the confident, kind, and resilient young people who leave our studio with a strong work ethic, lasting friendships, and a lifelong love of dance.
